Intra-regional events information will be listed and described by DHS region under the "Networking/Practitioner Support" section of the website.

Making it Home: Council to Homeless Persons Youth Conference 2009

28th October at the Melbourne Cricket Ground

CHP, in partnership with the Department of Human Services, is organising a state-wide conference on youth homelessness.

The conference program is targeted primarily at those in the youth homelessness and homelessness service sectors as well as those in allied sectors (alcohol and other drugs, mental health, primary health, disability, family support, family violence, etc.) who work with young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Young people who are experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of homelessness, are of course welcome to attend also.

Youth Accommodation Association New South Wales, National Youth Homelessness Conference

YAA is hosting a Youth Homeless Conference at the Twin Towns Resort Tweed Heads 12-14 October. The timing of this conference will provide an important opportunity to consider, prepare and position our work in relation to the rollout of and implementation of The Road Home and NAHA reforms within the contexts of the current policy and funding environment. The conference will also showcase new ideas, new research, and good practice to support / resource organisations and workers opportunities and challenges ahead for our work of ending youth homelessness in Australia. This conference will also mark 30 years of YAA.

YACVic. Mobile Phone Bullying in the New Millenium – Forum

On 27th August the Youth Affairs Council Victoria is hosting a forum on mobile phone bullying and young people. The event will run from 10am – 4pm at the Melbourne Town Hall.
